Halo Pulse

Ranked, actionable signals for business leaders

Overview

Halo Pulse is the business leader's view of everything happening in Halo: a ranked list of priorities, each answering three questions. What changed? Why does it matter? What should I do next? It's AI-powered, and every priority comes with the evidence and a suggested next step, so people can make decisions based on the data.

Challenge

Business leaders usually saw research work only as exported PowerPoints, and analysts published into workspaces hoping the right person would find it.

The goal is to change how insight reaches people. Instead of business leaders waiting for a deck or searching a workspace, the signals that matter come to them, ranked and explained, with a clear next step.

My role

I'm leading the design of Pulse, running the design process from start to finish. Phase one was a vibe-coded prototype to prove the concept and gather feedback from our customers.

Based on what we learned, we're now building the proper implementation, and I'm shaping what carries over from the prototype, what needs to change, and how Pulse fits alongside everything else in Halo.

The project is still in progress.

How Pulse works

Pulse is ranked, not chronological. It watches the signals a team cares about, from research and customer data to market and competitor sources, and ranks them for each person's role, so an insights leader, a marketer and a CEO see the same market prioritised differently.

It's useful from day one: public market and competitor sources power the first signals, and every source connected after that makes the priorities more specific.

Every priority links back to the table, chart or study behind it, and follow-up questions are answered from people's own sources. Teams can discuss priorities in a thread, and tuning what Pulse watches teaches it what matters.

Pulse recommends a next step with the evidence attached, and a person makes the decision. Recurring analysis behind it can run as a flow, with the output landing as a draft for review.
